FAQs
Can I turn in my work late?
The late work policy is as follows: During the first semester (August- December) you may turn in your work on time or ONE day after it is due. The only time I will collect work is during class from the student. Please do not attempt to turn in your late work before/after school, during lunch, in my mailbox, or to any other teacher or office personnel. It will not be accepted.
How will my late work be graded?
Late work that is turned in dring class the day after it is due will be given 50% credit for the work that is turned in.
When do I turn in my work if I am absent?
All work will be accepted in class at the appropriately designated time. Please do not send work in to any mailbox, other teacher or office personnel. If you would like to make an appointment to speak with me about absent work during some time other than class time you will have to email me or speak with me.
How many days to I have to make-up absent work?
You will be given as many days to make-up work as you were out. If you were out one day - you get one day. If you were out five days - you get five days. This does not include weekends.
When can I make-up a test/quiz if I am absent?
Spelling tests can be made-up on Mondays during homeroom. Please check in with your homeroom teacher, ask them for a pass and come to my room to take the test when you have permission. You must have a pass from your homeroom teacher to make up a test.
For any other tests: If you are absent when we take a test or quiz you must schedule the make-up day with me and let me know when you plan on coming in during homeroom to complete the assignment.
What should I do if something is wrong on my schoolloop progress report?
If the assignment is already graded: bring the paperwork in and speak with me at the end of the period so that I can adjust the grade.
If the paper does not have a grade on it: the paper was not graded and there is nothing I can change.
If the paper had a grade but you lost it or did not file it correctly: I cannot do anything for you.
